Game 11

Phew! Back on track, albeit in a bit of a scary way!

Game 11: Poland, Ekstraklasa Cup - Legia Warsaw vs Gornik Leczna

Laid the draw pre kickoff for £20 at odds of 6.6 - total liability £112

Legia were favourites for this so I was expecting a first half goal from them. As has been the case in most of my recent selections it was 0-0 at half time. Then after 57 minutes Surdykowski put Leczna in front. This did the draw odds no favours whatsoever and put me in a bit of a pickle.

I decided to hold on until the draw odds increased a bit, so I waited ... and waited ... and waited. As Legia were such strong favourites beforehand, the draw odds took ages to increase. Just as I was considering letting the bet run (87 minutes gone) ... betting suspended. I nearly shat myself. After a minute of suspense betting came back to life and it became obvious that Leczna had doubled their lead.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief and watched the LiveScore website as they held out for the last few minutes giving me a profit of £19.00

The Oaks

Having stumbled across the HorseGraphs website I thought I'd give the selections a try with some small stakes for The Oaks at Epsom. Light Shift came home in front for a profit of £14.06. Hurrah!

Bring on The Derby tomorrow!

Game 10

Step away from the pc! There are some days when you shouldn't go near a pc - this was one of these days for me.

Game 10: Poland, Ekstraklasa Cup - Korona vs GKS Belchatow

I really annoyed myself here - discipline went out of the window. I've set myself a point where I need to bail out of a game when things aren't going to plan. This time I did it too early, and it cost me! 61 minutes gone (I usually wait until around 70) and I tried to take a small loss on the game. Most of the bet got matched, then literally 2 seconds later ... betting suspended. Shit! I backed the draw at the improved odds after the goal to bring my loss down a bit, but it was too late to make too much difference.

There were 3 more goals in the next 12 minutes as Belchatow ran out 3-1 winners - boy did I feel stupid! I really need to trust my match selection a bit more and STICK TO THE SYSTEM!

Anyway, the result of my mistake was a loss of £16.60

Then ...

Big Brother. I really stuffed up here by betting on one market when I thought I was on another. I wont go into details as I feel a bit of a tit, but it cost me £8.75.

A day to forget!
